- [Instructor] Extract is a great tool to create new geometry from your current model. So let me show you how it works. So let's go ahead and bring up a model first, so I'm going to click on LightBox, and from LightBox, I'm going to bring the demo soldier, so double click on this one, and I'm going to make sure that I have him full frame, so I'll type F and front, or you can use Shift and move like so, and the first thing I'm going to do is go into the sub tools and hit Shift, invisibility, so they're all hidden, and just select the body. So before we actually extract, let's go ahead and mask, but when you look at the typology right now, so if we bring the poly frames and keep the line, you're going to see that right now, the typology is going to give us a so so mask, so if you want to have or do a better mask, you want to increase the typology of that particular model. So let's go ahead and subdivide again, so…
