In this ZBrush sculpting training lesson, your instructor assesses the scarecrow model to determine what needs to be adjusted before you can move to the polish phase and Polypaint. He also discusses the changes he made and why, as well as describes two approaches he will instruct you on in the next video to accomplish this.
- [Instructor] At this stage of the project…what I like to do is assess my work…the same way I would asses the work…of any of the artists working on my team in a production.…So what I'll typically do is take a screen capture…in ZBrush of the sculpt in approximately…the same camera direction as the concept art.…The next thing I'll do is, in Photoshop,…I'll just do some drawover markings…showing where some of the perspective may be off,…some of the scaling, and just different areas…of the project that are not quite exactly…matching the concept art.…
And then I also determine, as I'm making those comments,…is this something that is necessary for the end client,…do we have a client that is extremely picky…and wants everything to be perfect…and match the concept exactly,…or is the concept just to give us a general idea,…inspiration of what they're looking for,…but we have the ability to be a bit unique…in the final execution.…So with that, I've made some drawings,…the red markings are typically changes…that I'd like to have made, and the green check marks…
