- [Instructor] One area that can often be confusing in ZBrush is how to add different materials to different Sub Tools. If you don't know how it works, you'll try to add different materials and then all your Sub Tools have the same material. So let's take a look at how it works. So I'm now in ZBrush and I'm going to open Lightbox with comma, and then grab the demo soldier. So as you can see right now, we have the same materials across the entire model here. So, what we're going to do is change that. So, the first thing you need to do is select the Sub Tool you want to add a different material. So in this case I'm going to select the body, like so. And then, what you want to make sure is that MRGB is selected, like so. And then what we need to do is go and select material or select the material that you want to place on this specific Sub Tool.
