- [Instructor] Oh, doesn't money IRL make you just want to ROFL? I mean why oh why, right? What, why are you looking at me like that? Oh, you're not supposed to say those out loud? Oh, well you can't see it right now, but I'm face palming. Playback-based CPM analytics can show you your estimate for how much you are making per a specific amount of time. But before we get into it let's define what CPM means. CPM, or clicks per mille, is the estimated average gross revenue pet thousand playbacks on which an ad was displayed independent of which specific playbacks the advertiser was charged for. Complicated, right? In simpler terms, it's the average amount you made per 1,000 monetized views. Fun tip. Mille is the Latin word for one thousand, so hopefully that helps you remember.
