- [Female Narrator] Hmm? What was that? Sorry, I stopped paying attention. Oh, were we talking about audience retention? Right, right. Audience retention is the average percentage of your video your audience watches and can be a handy tool in identifying where your viewers might be dropping off. Along with audience view duration, audience retention is one of the major analytics YouTube uses to gauge if your video has good content. So, the higher the better. A video that's performing good should be between 50-60 percent. And videos performing very well should be 70% and higher. Audience retention is a video by video basis, so in order to look at it, we actually have to leave the analytic section of the YouTube Studio, and instead click on the Videos section. From here, hover over the video you want to see audience retention for. And then, click on the Analytics icon. This brings you to a similar looking analytics…
