Join Gini von Courter for an in-depth discussion in this video Deleting a message, part of Yammer Essential Training.
…One of the questions that inevitably arrises is,…how do I delete this message that I just posted?…And the answer is, you can.…If you're the person who posts a message, you can then delete the message.…So if I post to say, I'm working all night on a proposal for…tomorrow and I'm not paying attention, just typing, and I post this.…I know oh, it's wrong.…Well, how would I delete this?…Well, immediately I could actually go in and delete it.…
Nobody else can.…Well, no other user can.…But someone who is a group admin, if this is a post in a group or…who is a network admin can delete this.…So if I catch it right away it's not a bad thing to delete the message.…But once it's been there for a while, particularly once people are responding to…it, we normally don't recommend that you would want to delete messages,…whether you're a group admin or a regular user.…
If you make a mistake, for example you state that,…we have a conference planning meeting will be at four today.…And you post it and half an hour later and…you realize, oh shoot, I should have said where.…
