Cross-platform mobile app development
- [Matt] Building cross-platform mobile applications often takes two teams of developers with different skillset. Xamarin Tools enable you to build cross-platform mobile applications using a single language, C#. Xamarin.Forms extends that concept by allowing you to define user interface definitions that can be shared between platforms. In this course, we're going to jump right in and build a Xamarin application that uses Xamarin forms for the user interface. You'll learn all about creating shared user interfaces as well as how to combine platform native code and controls in your application with very little effort. I'm Matt Milner and I've been developing software for more than 20 years. I've built everything from mainframe integration solutions to web applications running in the cloud and I'm very excited about the possibilities that cross-platform mobile applications bring to developers. If you want to write mobile applications, I'm sure you're going to love how productive you can be with Xamarin.Forms. Let's get started.
