- Now, my view of writing is that at the same time as you're trying to optimize comprehension, and you're trying to optimize beauty, they're kind of like two things on an axis, right? Sometimes you have to compromise a bit of beauty for comprehension, and sometimes you have to compromise a little bit of comprehension for beauty. And that's a balance that you've got to strike. But yet there are, they're kind of, they're points on an axis. They're kind of lines on axis. And if you really go along the beauty axis to its extreme level, you're gonna get to something called poetry, right? I mean that's where you're making the writing sound so beautiful that it's poetic, okay? While I don't advocate using overly poetic language for say business writing, you want to be able to push towards that side of things so that it begins to have, again, these types of rhythms and the quality of poetry. And once you know what that is, then you can begin to draw the line where you see fit, right? Now…
