(bright music) - [Jessica] Have you ever noticed that every time you install a new app these days, it asks you to allow the app to send you notifications? It's crazy. I can't install a new app without the app wanting to distract me whenever it feels like it. That question is essentially asking, hey, when we want to steal your focus and attention, will you let us? I hope by now after you've taken the majority of this course, your answer would be no, you can't have my attention whenever you feel like it. You can't barge your way into my day whenever it's convenient to you and distract me from what I'm doing. Your device should not have the power to interrupt you. The people who create apps should not have the power to interrupt you. Even the people sending you emails and texts should not get that power.
