- Now we've seen how the idea of bringing order to your writing applies, how it applies to the narrative level, the paragraph level, and the sentence level, and I wanna show you now that it can also apply to the word level, and this is a quite interesting thing. We can place words in such an order as to boost their, their orderliness and again, you don't really have to do this all the time, but you want to have the choice to do this. So, let's just take a look at an example. The shopping basket contained a tin of beans, a pair of shoes, some teabags, a carton of tropical fruit juice, a two-liter Coca-Cola bottle, a sack of potatoes, and two pairs of socks. OK, that's fine, you may want that random effect. But if not, you do have the choice of moving these pieces around. Why have you got them in that order? Is there a reason, is there any reason why you might change the order? Could you make it more orderly or more effective in some other way? So, let's try and make that list a bit…
