- Okay, so we saw how you can empower your introductions and do killer intros. Just as important, though, is how you end what you're writing. In journalism, there's a concept called kickers. Kickers are the very last sentence, the very last part of an article. The idea is to make sure that they're quite cool and they end quite, in a cool way. It's sort of like leaving on a high note. The basic idea behind it is that you want to end with some kind of impact and you're gonna look at different ways that you could create impact. For me, that often involves circling back to what my intention was. Here's where you can refer back to what you wanted to achieve by doing this and help the kicker relate to that purpose in some way. Now, to remind yourself of your intention and your intention should be there throughout the narrative anyway, but let's say with the Star Wars review, you're basically your intention is to say make people, persuade people to go see this movie.
