Tracking contact forms

- [Instructor] One of the things I love doing is digging into the data. And even with something as small as a contact form, you can dig into that data. One of the best tools for all around website tracking is Google Analytics. It can help you determine where people are coming from, and what they did before they filled out your form. But to do all of this, you have to set up tracking in Google Analytics, and tracking a form can be a little tricky. You could add a custom JavaScript code, but that is a lot of work. What's easier is to log an event each time someone visits a particular page on your site, and then, only send someone to that page once they filled out a form. It's a much easier way to track your form completions and it doesn't involve any code. So what's important for you to know is that if you want to track your contact form submissions, you need to be able to redirect to a thank you page.
