- [Tutor] One of the great things about working with Genesis Framework is the variety of child themes to choose from. With dozens of themes available directly from studiopress.com, or WP Engine, and many, many Genesis themes available from third party vendors, you've got a lot of available options. So when you hear people talking about child themes for Genesis, you may hear the word StudioPress theme and Genesis theme used interchangeably, and that can be confusing. Here's the difference, both terms refer to child themes made to run on the Genesis Framework. A Genesis theme refers to any child for Genesis, but a StudioPress theme is one authored specifically by StudioPress. So both themes are made for Genesis, but that distinction has more to do with who authored the theme.
