Select a CDN

- [Carrie] At this point, we've already covered how CDN pricing works and some key factors to consider when you're looking for a CDN. So now you've got three options. First, you can select a CDN to use with your WordPress site. It could be one that I've mentioned in this course or it could be another, another option is to go with a web host that offers a CDN and use that. And finally, you may opt to not use a CDN at all. Assuming you do choose to go with a CDN, the rest of the lessons in this chapter will walk you through getting one set up with your WordPress site. But before we do that, let's talk quickly about speed testing. Before you enable a CDN, it's a good idea to do a speed test on your website so that you have a baseline of where you started. You can test your site now, and after setting up a CDN to get a before and after performance comparison. There are a variety of free services you can use to run a speed test. I'd suggest starting with Google Page Speed or Pingdom Tools. Just go to either, enter the URL for your site, and run the test. From there, you can save the page from your browser, or just take a screenshot of the results for future reference.
