- [Instructor] One of the reasons WordPress is so popular is because it's relatively easy to use. And part of that ease of use is how simple it is to add photos to your posts and pages. But when it's so easy to add a photo, we often don't think about where we're getting that image and whether or not we've optimized that image. Since we can simply select the file off of our computer, there's very little thought that goes into compressing images. And when we don't compress images, we run the risk of having very large files that take a ton of time to download with our end user. So I want to show you how we can review image sizes within our WordPress site through a couple of techniques. Let's start by visiting SaltandSimple.com.
