- [Instructor] As we've already discussed many managed WordPress hosts already include a CDN as part of their offerings. That's great as it means, the cost of a CDN is already wrapped into your web hosting fees. If you opt to separately purchase a CDN, how much should you expect to pay? Well, let's start by looking at the factors that go into pricing. The biggest factor is traffic. The more traffic a site has, the more data is transferred which means more bandwidth is needed. CDN pricing is primarily based on how many bytes of data is served. Another cost factor is the actual features and services provided with a CDN. For instance, features might include SSL certificates, RMTP or real-time messaging protocol for video streaming, access to customer support, et cetera.
