- [Instructor] Each time you create a new page or article in WordPress, you're going to create a new permalink and it's important that you pay particular attention to how those permalinks are created and what they contain so that you're maximizing your SEO value. Now these permalinks are also sometimes referred to as the slug and to show you how this works I'm going to create a new post by selecting Add New in the Post menu on the left hand side. Since this is a recipe website, let's go ahead and create a title for our new recipe. I'll call it Brad's Favorite Golden and Fluffy Cornbread. Now within this version of WordPress, in order to see the permalink I need to start by choosing Save Draft in the upper right hand corner and then I can select the article title and see the permalink that was created at the top of the page.
