- [Instructor] Unintentional content duplication due to improper URL handling is one of the more common SEO issues I come across. And it can hinder your SEO efforts dramatically. And it often goes unnoticed because to an outside observer the site works fine. We often don't really pay much attention to what happens in the address bar as we click around on links or when visiting a website directly. If we forget a trailing slash, mix in a few stray capital letters as we type in a URL, or even ignore adding in, say, www before that root domain, we often still arrive where we expected to be. But behind the scenes, the server is essentially saying, hey, what you asked for is unique and I found it. And this crops up in a myriad of ways. Your server may return a successful 200 Result for pages such as saltandsimple.com/blog, saltandsimple.com/blog/, or http://saltandsimple.com/blog, or saltandsimple.com/BLOG, or…
