- If you have made it this far, you've reached the end of this journey and I thank for taking it with me. By watching this course, you should now have a clear understanding of how to create your own WordPress site and use it to publish your thoughts, ideas, creations, or whatever you like on the web and share it with whomever you want. With WordPress at your fingertips, the power of the web is in your hands and you're ready to take part in the world wide online discourse. Before I let you go, let me point you towards some resources to help you dive further into the world of WordPress.
First off, as a user of WordPress, WordPress.org is your new home. This is where you find WordPress, its themes and plugins, help, documentation, and information about the future of the platform, and also where you go if you want to contribute back to WordPress. Like I've mentioned previously, WordPress is not just software. It's also a community and that's reflected in the many WordPress events happening all over the world. Now that you're using WordPress, join some of these events and make friends with people in your local community.
At WordPress.meetup.com, you'll find listings of all the WordPress meetups around the world, and WordCamp.org lists all the WordPress conferences around the world. If you're looking for news about WordPress, the best place to go is the WordPress Tavern. There, Jeff and Sarah keep us all up to date on what's going on with the application and the community. Your WordPress learning journey is just beginning and in the lynda.com library, we have a long list of courses on WordPress, web design and development, social media, analytics, content creation, and so on.
I urge you to dive deeper into the library and find new courses that inspire and engage you to keep learning. If you want to really focus in on WordPress, I've created a custom, WordPress Masterclass playlist just for you that spans the gamut from beginner to seasoned developer. This playlist isn't just about WordPress, it also features courses from other authors that teach concepts about web design and developments that every WordPress designer and developer should know, so there's a lot more to learn here. Finally, I love hearing from you about how you're using what you've learned in my courses.
Now that you've finished WordPress Essential Training, find me on Twitter @mor10, cuz that's my name, and show off your new site. You can also ask questions or just take part in one of my random conversations. I promise I won't bite. Now all that's left for me to say is (speaks in foreign language), go build some great WordPress sites, and I'll see you in the next course.
