- [Instructor] With all of our labels defined, let's scroll down to Settings. These primarily have to do with displaying and searching for the post type. We have great descriptions and default values for each. Most we'll keep at that default value, but let's walk through them. Public, Publicly Queryable, and Show UI all have to do with whether users can see and query the post type on the front end and in the dashboard. This might sound a bit strange to include, and in most cases, we definitely do want users to interact with our post types, but sometimes there are instances where the post type actually supports another function. Examples of this, in core, are revisions, menus, and custom CSS. Show in Nav Menus let's us decide if we want users to add out post types to the menu areas. Show in REST API will enable the REST API.
