Creating coupons
- [Instructor] Something most retailers will want to explore is a discount strategy for loyal customers, and WooCommerce has coupon functionality built in. We can go to WooCommerce, Coupons, and then we can create our first coupon. Let's do that, I'll click Create your first coupon, and we can type in the coupon code, let's call this 10off, and then we can add a description. This is for our own internal purposes, so write whatever makes sense to you. Then we can choose the type of discount we want, so this could be a $10 discount, or it can be a 10% discount. So a 10% discount sounds pretty good for me, and we could, if we want, publish this as-is right now, but before we do, I do want to look into Usage Restrictions. while people use our coupons so we can enforce people spend at least $10 or people spend no more than $1000. We can also make sure that you can only use this coupon by itself with no other coupons. This might be a good idea for a new customer coupon. We could exclude…
