Adding a logo
- [Instructor] As we've explored the customizer, there's one thing we haven't looked at yet, and that's how to add a logo to your site. Whether or not you have the built-in ability to add a logo depends on the child theme you're using. Also, child themes implement this ability in different ways, so how you add a logo to your site may look different from what I show you here. So here, I've got the Genesis sample theme activated. It's version 3.1, and it supports adding a logo. I can do that by going to Site Identity, select a logo. When I click it, it brings up my media library. I could either upload a file or just select one I've already got, and there we go. Now, the code for this theme specifies a certain dimension from the logo, and of course, if I use that dimension to crop, I'll be cropping out part of my logo. So I'm just going to say Skip Cropping. And there, my site title is gone, and we can see this logo showing up…
