The Block Editor includes basic blocks you can use to build content, but there may be times you want blocks that do more. The Atomic Blocks plugin is a collection of blocks you can use. In this video, create a call to action area using the Call to Action block.
- [Instructor] Earlier in the course, … we talked about the needs, goals and requirements … for the small business website. … One of the requirements was a clear call to action … on the homepage inviting potential customers to contact us. … That's what I'm going to use this call to action block for … from the Atomic Blocks plugin. … So first things first, … I need to go to the plugins area of my site … and add the Atomic Blocks plugin. … I'll search for it. … Click Install and then go ahead and activate it. … And once activated, … it brings up this new menu area on the left. … This is basically just a little bit of documentation … for the plugin and then a settings page. … Right now, this plugin only supports an integration … with MailChimp and I'm not interested in that. … But what I am interested in … is adding that call to action block to my homepage. … So if we go to our homepage and click Edit Page, … now we just need to decide where to add that CTA. … I'm going to add it here to the end of my content. …
