Welcome

Hello, I am Morten Rand-Hendriksen and welcome to start with a theme photo portfolios. In this course, I will show you how to quickly and easily build and manage a photo portfolio site using WordPress and two free themes. We will start by setting up WordPress itself to function as a Portfolio site, we will download and activate an advanced photo portfolio theme and customize it to look and function the way we want, and we will download and customize a second completely different photo portfolio theme to provide you with two great alternatives both in terms of look and functionality for your site.

This course is meant as a primer to get you up and running with your own photo portfolio site powered by WordPress. It requires no coding skills on your part, but it does require that you have a self hosted WordPress site to work with. If this is first time working with WordPress or you are unfamiliar with the application, I recommend you go check out the WordPress 3 Essential Training course right here on Lynda.com. Now let's build a photo portfolio site with WordPress starting with the theme.
