- [Instructor] Seeing the update methods…I demonstrated in the previous couple of movies,…you may be wondering if there's a less brute force…and convoluted method for updating…intranet-based WordPress sites…that are separated from the internet.…The answer is yes, there are other methods…but they may require a completely different work process.…So, one of the methods…is the one I outlined in the beginning of this chapter…to create a duplicate of your intranet site…on a computer that is connected to the internet,…then use that as a staging site…and swap the instances over the network.…
That works perfectly well…but it requires keeping two separate sites in sync.…Another tool that may help you is this one, the WP-CLI.…This is a command line interface for WordPress…and if you're used to working with command line…and you know how to get things to work…by typing out commands in a command line,…then this may be the tool for you.…Using the WP-CLI in combination…with regular command line tools,…you are able to set up your WordPress site,…
