A common feature of intranet sites is a staff directory. Using the WP User Manager plugin you'll be able to create an advanced front-end staff directory based on registered users in your WordPress site.
- [Instructor] Now that I have all my staffers…registered to the site,…I want to display their information…in a staff directory on the front end.…I'll do that using a plugin called WP User Manager.…Unlike a lot of the staff directory plugins…available for WordPress,…this one uses the existing user data…from the user profiles to display on the front end.…I personally like this solution because it makes it…a lot easier to manage users on the site.…However, some of the other options…that use custom post types for users…have far more advanced features.…
So it all depends on what you want to display.…Just like before,…I've already installed the plugin on my site,…I just just need to activate it.…Right here, WP User Manager.…When this plugin is activated,…a couple of things happen on my site.…First off, under Users,…I have a series of new options.…So here we have User Directory, Profile Fields,…WPUM Settings, Tools and Addons.…In addition, the plugin has also created…a series of pages for me,…and you can see they're marked with this little icon…
