- [Instructor] Of the millions of mail merges completed in Microsoft Word everyday, the vast majority use the kind of information that Outlook users store in Outlook, names, addresses, email addresses, and so on. Here's our letter. To use Outlook simply choose select recipients, choose from Outlook contacts, you may have to wait a moment if Outlook's not already running, and here are my contacts' folders that I can use as address books. I want to use the one that's called promo list, and I'm going to click okay. Now I mentioned that it needed to be an Outlook address book. Let me show you want I mean. Here I am in Outlook, and this is promo list, the list that we're looking at. If I right-click it, and choose its properties, and click the Outlook address book tab, this tab is turned on.
