Use fields in headers and footers
- [Narrator] When we added a page number, for example page one, that page number is a field, and we know that because when I select it, it turns gray. And we have other fields in our documents, we have tables of contents, for example, that are a field, we've used cross references and bookmarks. We're going to use fields now in our headers and footers to display some information about our document. I'd like to know the last time this document was modified, so I'm going to actually insert that as a field in this document. I'm going to move that tab in, just a little bit, and I'm going to insert, then, from the quick parts, a field. And the field that I want, is a date field, it's not, create date, and there are a lot of fields here so let's go to date and time and look, and I actually want the last time this document was saved. I can have how long it took to edit it, but I can't have the last time it was edited, so I need to trust that the last time it was saved might be the last time…
