- [Instructor] If you've ever been working on a Word document and needed to do a little drawing or doodling, maybe adding some shapes and lines. You know that you can do that anywhere on the page. But to get them all grouped together can be cumbersome, selecting them all, using the grouping options. A better option might be to create a little drawing area on your page called a drawing canvas, which will corral all your shapes and lines together as though they're one single object. That's what we're going to explore in this week's Word tip. You can be working with any document you like if you have the exercise files and want to follow along with the same document I'm working with. Open up Tech Forecast084. The first step is to click in the general area where you want the drawing canvas to appear. Let's say it's over here near the top of our document on the right which can just click there.
