Microsoft publishes updates on a regular basis, which contain bug fixes and even new features. This video shows how to check for new updates, so you can ensure that you always have the most current version of Word.
- [Instructor] Microsoft publishes updates…to the Office applications pretty often.…Sometimes they contain simple bug fixes,…but sometimes significant new features…are added in an update.…Especially for Office 365 users,…it's important to run your updates…to make sure you have all of the current features.…Word and the other Office applications…will check for updates and install them automatically…on a regular basis.…But if you think there's a new feature that you do not have…or if you think there's an important update…that you have not yet installed,…you can check and run updates manually.…If you're on Windows,…you can go to the backstage view…so click on File to open up backstage,…then go to Account…and there's a button here for Office Updates.…
When you click on this, it opens up a menu…and you can choose Update Now…to check and see if there are any updates available.…I'm currently up to date so there's nothing new to install.…So I'm going to close this.…But going back into this menu,…you'll see there's also an option to Disable Updates.…
