This video shows how to set the default font and text formatting that can be used on a new blank document.
- [Instructor] When you create a new blank document in Word,…by default, it starts with the text set to the Normal style,…which will have the Calibri font…and the size set to 11…or a 12 if you're working on a Mac.…But you might prefer a different font…or your company might have a different standard font…in their style guide.…Wouldn't it be nice to have Word start…with your preferred font every time…instead of having to change it…each time you start a new document?…Let's see how to do that.…First, I'm going to select this text…and set it with the font and format that I want.…
So I'm going to set the font to Ariel.…Let's make the text bigger.…We'll set it to 14, and just so we can really see…what it looks like, I'm going to bold that text, as well.…Once you set the text to the formatting that you want,…you can select it, then right click on it…and go to Font, and you'll see there's a button here…to set this as your default.…But before you click this button,…I want you to notice that I have all of the controls I need…
