- [Instructor] Remember that when I create…a new document based on my template, for example…my installation project report,…if I create this, I don't get a template.…I get a document based on that template.…What if I want to be able to edit my template…to make some further changes to it, because we do?…Well, if I go to File, New and I go to that template,…it would be nice if I could right-click…and choose Edit, but I can't.…That's not how we're able to edit a template.…Instead I'm going to need to go browse to find it.…
But you will find your template in the Documents folder…in the Custom Office Templates folder right here,…here's my installation projects report…and I'm going to open that and notice now…that once again, I'm working on the template.…Remember also that after I'm done editing the template,…if I were to go to File, Open, it would be listed here…ao again, a good practice to not do this accidentally…is to right-click and clear any documents that aren't pinned…or just simply remove this one from the list.…
