- [Instructor] Inserting text from another Office document is an easy way to combine text from one or more documents without having to retype the text, or do a copy and paste to get the data into your new document. On the Word 2016 MOS exam, you will likely be asked to insert or import data into your document. Now we have two ways of doing that. You can insert as an object, the new text, and embed it in the document. Or you can embed it and link it back to the data source file. We'll also look at how you can insert text into your document, and we'll see how it comes in unformatted. I want to make sure that you understand that process.
