- [Instructor] In this week's Word tip, we're going to explore a well-known feature that might be far more powerful than you realize. I'm talking about the status bar, and we're going to do it with this file. If you have the exercise files, open up Press_release026. If you don't, just follow along with one of your own documents. We're accustomed to going down to the status bar on the bottom left here to see how many pages we have and what page we're on. Perhaps a word count can be important. With a press release, perhaps it's very important. What you may not realize is these are clickable. Let's go down to the 484 words we see here on the status bar and click. It opens up the word count dialog, and as you can see, there's a lot more information than just the pages and words. The number of characters, without spaces and with. Paragraphs.
