- [Instructor] Here in Microsoft Word there are many many keyboard shortcuts to help you work more efficiently saving you time and effort when issuing Word commands. If you have the exercise files open up this file Keyboard Shortcuts 027, you'll see I've listed a number of keyboard shortcuts that use the Control key. And you're likely familiar with many of these. Control B for bolding. Control C for copy. You can see Control F for opening up the navigation pane ready to find something. Control O for open, Control P for print. Maybe you've saved using Control S. That's a great way to update your files as you're working on them without having to take your hands off the keyboard, reach for the mouse and click somewhere on the ribbon. Well, what if there's something you do on a regular basis and there is no keyboard shortcut for it? You can create your own.
