- [Instructor] If you've ever needed to add a fraction to the text you're typing here in a Word document, you may have seen auto-correct jump in and replace what you're typing with a fraction as a symbol. Well, that's cool except auto-correct doesn't have all of they fractions and there will be times when if you need a fraction, you'll need to know how to create them yourselves. That's what we're going to do in this week's Word tip with a new blank document or you can type in some text here like I did. My cursor's flashing, waiting for us to type in a fraction representing the costs that are expected to decrease in the upcoming year. I'm going to zoom in so you can see this. I'm going to zoom in to around 150%. There's my cursor flashing. Let's test out auto-correct first. Maybe costs are going to go down by a half. We would type in one slash two, hit the space bar, and you can see how it gets replaced with a nice little symbol representing 1/2. Let's backspace to take that out. How…
