The Researcher tool can help you add citations to articles referenced in your document. It can also quickly add a bibliography to a document, referring to the citations you've included.
- [Narrator] If you are writing a research paper…or other document where you need to cite the source…of information that you're using,…then the researcher tool in word may be very useful.…In my document I've got a paragraph here making a claim…that connects the use of drones to reducing budget…in filmmaking.…To support this argument I want to include a citation…to a journal article or research study.…So let's see what we can find.…I'll need to go to the references ribbon,…then click researcher which opens up this panel.…So basically we have a search field.…
This will search Bing, which is Microsoft's search engine…and it will search for journal articles and websites.…I'm hoping to find an article that supports my claim…so I'm just going to search for something like,…drone filmmaking.…Hit return and see what we get.…So there are a bunch of search results here.…I can scroll through them, but also I can filter them…by only journal articles or only websites.…If I see something that looks interesting,…I can click on it to get more information…
