Add and modify custom form fields and controls
- [Instructor] Creating a form in a Microsoft Word document is much easier than you'd think, but before we can begin, we have to display the developer tab, because this is the ribbon where all the form controls are stored. We can also insert document fields such as the author's name, the print date, and the save date. These fields are stored in the quick parts menu on the insert tab. We're going to be working with a document that I've already created and saved, but I want you to know that Word has a lot of different form templates available to you, so if you're going to create a form, don't think you have to start with a blank slate. Type in the word form in the search field and it'll come up with dozens of forms that you can start with. Let's go ahead and hop into our 04_04 forms document. Now in this form, I've already inserted just a couple of form controls but I want to take a step back and quickly review how to display the developer tab. Right click anywhere on the ribbon…
