Join David Rivers for an in-depth discussion in this video Modifying tables , part of Word 2008 for Mac Essential Training.
Well, no matter how you've created your tables, although pretty good, you'll need to adjust or modify them at some point.…For example, as you begin to enter text, you realize one column is no longer wide enough to accommodate one of your entries…or maybe you want to make it easier to read by spreading it out a little bit.…Let's modify some tables that we created earlier.…Here you can see on my screen is the table that we actually brought in from Microsoft Excel.…So it's not really a table; it's an Excel spreadsheet.…We got this extra column over here on the right-hand side.…
Now, if you are jumping to this lesson and you have got the exercise files, you can open up Inventory6.docx…from the Lesson9 folder of your exercise files to have what I have.…If you have been following along from the previous lesson, you will already have this.…So how do we get rid of this column?…Well, we can actually do it in Excel; Excel always has those columns but we can treat this like any other graphic.…We will be talking about working with pictures and graphics later on.…
