- [Teacher] Part of effective packet analysis is knowing how to use the tools within Wireshark. Let me show you a couple of things that I refer to, just to help keep track of what's happening. The one thing is when you go to Statistics, and you can see that there are a lot of choices in Statistics, I want to go to Capture File Properties. Now, when you open this, you can see a lot of the metadata about this capture. And down below, it tells you the time of when it was taken, how long it had taken to run, and if it knows the hardware it will put that in as well. This also tells us a little bit about statistics as far as average bytes per second, average bits per second, and any interface information. You can also put a comment so that you can refer to this information at a later date. So for this place, I would just put a file comment, "Many duplicate ACK's must investigate."
