Investigating the Edit Menu choice
- [Instructor] When you're troubleshooting, you might want to edit the capture. We'll do this by going to the Edit menu choice. Now drop this down. And here you can see your like grouping starting with, Find, Find Packet, Find Next, Find Previous. And in this case, we could just select Find, and this allows you to put a filter. Now say you're looking for a string value, something specific, you would put that in there. I'll drop this down, and then we'll see the next grouping. This all goes into marking packets. Now, why would I want to mark packets? I'll just go in and I'll take a look and say I found something of interest in packet number three. I'll right click and I'll say Mark Packet. You should probably be able to see that it's a black background with white print. If for example, it's an already black background, you might not be able to see it as well. I'll take the coloring rules off. And there you can easily see…
