Getting ready to capture
- [Instructor] In this segment, we'll take a look at some capture options. You'll see how you can select a specific interface and how you can capture to a permanent file or a temporary file using a ring buffer as well as some of the various capture methods. So we're going to go to the menu choice capture, and we'll drop this down, and as you can see, there are options, start, capture filters or refresh interfaces. We'll select options, and once you open the options, there's a lot of information here. First of all, we see a list of interfaces that are available. You can go to manage interfaces and you can find a little bit more information, and as you can see, I'll just pull this over here and you have some VMware adapters, Bluetooth, local area connection, and I can just uncheck those, 'cause really, I just want the wifi and I'll say okay, and then, you can also see that it automatically, since I narrowed…
