- [Instructor] In this section I'd like to talk about encrypting individual files in Windows 10. So at the start menu, I'll type in encryption. And we'll see one of the options is manage file encryption certificates. I'll click on that. The first step of the wizard is just an explanation about the EFS, or Encrypted File System, and how I'm going to need to create a certificate in order for it to work. So I'll click Next, then it's saying there's already some certificates on this machine. But I would like to create a new one. So I'm going to select Create new certificate, hit Next. It gives me some options. The most secure option would be the bottom one, get a certificate from the domain's certification authority. So if you're on a domain and doing this in production, you probably want to go with that option. But a quicker option, and perfectly fine for a demo is the top option, a new self-signed certificate. I'll hit Next. Then asking me if I would like to backup the certificate…
