- Let's talk a little bit about what you should know before we start our course on Windows 10 administration. This course is designed for IT professionals who are working in a capacity of supporting a Windows 10 on the desktop. This is not an introductory course to Windows. If you're looking for an introductory, beginner-level course, I encourage you to try Windows 10 Essential Training here on lynda.com. To get the most out of this course, it would be good if you have experience administering desktop operating systems, such as a previous version of Windows, or maybe Macintosh or Linux desktops. In general, you should be familiar enough with Windows to work with File Explorer and the control panels, and be comfortable with basic networking terms.
