Using shortcuts to files and folders
- [Instructor] There are lots of ways you can use shortcuts to access files and folders more quickly. We've already seen some of these, in an earlier chapter we saw how you can pin applications to the taskbar to access them more quickly. Or how you can pin applications as a tile in the start menu. Pinning is one way of making a shortcut. And you're going to see this word pin a lot in windows. For example, if I go into file explorer, we already talked about some of the shortcuts that you see over here on the sidebar. And these area really important. The standard user folders, like documents, downloads, and pictures are here by default. These will link you directly to those folders wherever they may be, buried inside of folders on your hard drive. But as you work with files and folders on your hard drive, you may see other things pop up automatically in these shortcuts. Windows will put shortcuts here to folders you visit a lot.
