Shortly before the Anniversary Update, Microsoft updated the Mapps app and pushed that new version to all Windows 10 users in a software update. This new version of maps has a more streamlined interface. It allows users to have multiple tabs open, so you can have several locations open in maps at once. There are also new options for turn-by-turn driving directions.

Before we use the Maps,…I wanna take a quick look at my location settings.…So I'll go onto the Start menu, into settings,…to privacy, then to location.…One new option that you'll see here in location settings…is the option to set your default location.…You might want to set this as your home…or your work address.…The Maps application will use this default location…as your starting point for directions…or it can center the map to that location…
