- Another fantastic tool they can use to help work with your deployments tool is Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager or SCCM. Now the great thing about SCCM is that it provides a lot of abilities for us as an organization aside from just deployment technologies. Granted, that's one of its key strengths, but SCCM really does a lot of great work for you. It's also one of the tools in this course that I'm just going to mention briefly because it's not free. You do have to buy System Center 2012 to get a hold of SCCM. The nice thing about, though, when you buy System Center 2012, you get the entire System Center suite of products. Not only do you get Configuration Manager, but you also get Virtual Machine Manager for virtualization needs, you get Data Protection Manager for backup needs.
