- [Narrator] Although we do maintain this concept of a connection string just as if we were connecting to an Azure sequel or sequel server database. The way that connection strings get built for storage authorization is a little bit different and the way that the connection strings are developed is quite a bit different. Every request made against an Azure Storage service must be authenticated unless the request is for a blob or container resource that has been made available for public or signed access. So you can make this content available and wide open to the public or you can have signed access based on the concept of a Shared Access Signature at the account of service level. So a great example is you could say we're going to create an SAS connection string or key that would let users read and write blobs and files within this period of time so you can say they'll be authenticated between these dates and times and provide just this type of access to just these services.
