Shutting down and re-starting a computer are very simple commands, but are quite valuable. We'll talk about what happens when you shut down and re-start and we'll look at the controls for shutting down and re-starting a Windows 10 computer.
- [Voiceover] With any computer it's important…to be able to shut down and restart,…but you don't need to shut down your computer…every time you finish using it.…Sometimes the sleep mode is all that you need.…So to sleep, shut down, or restart the computer,…we're gonna start by going into the Start menu…by hitting this button in the very bottom left corner.…And I wanna look at these buttons on the far left side…of the Start menu, specifically this button here.…It's got a circle with a line through it,…and if you point your mouse at it,…you should see this label that says Power.…I can click on that button and it opens up this little menu,…and this gives you the options for sleep,…shutting down the computer and restarting the computer.…
If you choose to shut down the computer,…it will turn off completely.…But you should be aware that you will need to quit…any applications that are currently running…or that may stop the shut down process.…So if you wanna shut down the computer,…you simply click on this and the computer will shut down.…
