- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to…cover how to resize and move windows.…Any time you open a file or program,…you're opening what is called a window.…Resizing and moving windows will help you manage…and maximize your screen real estate…so you can have multiple windows open simultaneously…while seeing windows or screens to the side or beneath them.…Let's start with opening up the TextEdit application.…Moving it around is pretty straightforward.…Simply click and drag on the top bar…and move where you like.…Then notice, in the upper left of the window,…we have three small icons.…
Moving your mouse over each,…you will see that a symbol appears,…an X, a minus, and one for maximizing.…Let's go ahead and try the yellow icon.…Notice when I click on it, the window moves down…to the right side of the dock.…I can click on it to move it back up.…This is known as minimizing.…Clicking on the green icon maximizes it to full screen.…Doing this has some benefits as you can see,…your window gets bigger.…But the menu items at the top disappear.…
